Data Conversion
Problem:
A Court Reporting Software Company needed Beacon's data conversion expertise to assist in the data migration of numerous municipal court systems. Complicating matters was the fact that the marketing arm of the court system software team had over extended the IT Support group thus compressing the actual conversion and implentation programming time.
Solution:
Beacon's Professional Services Group was contracted to provide data conversion experts to complete this critical stage in the software implentation process.
Capitalizing on Our Experience with Informix 4gl and Unix platforms Beacon's team was able to accurately deliver the data before it was due and under budget. Despite the extreme time constraints Beacon's developers created automated data mapping and conversion modules which expedited the conversion process allowing the IT Group to quickly catch up with the marketing team.
Problem:
A National Real Estate Company required data conversion assistance with the data migration of multi-office custom client listings, employee files, financial records, business contacts and existing leads into a central repository(MS Access DB).
Solution:
Beacon's Professional Services Group successfully extracted the data from multiple locations/formats and loaded into the central repository. Converting Data from a vast array of sources and formats such as zip discs, floppy discs, MS Outlook, MS Excell as well as the various Cardscan formats was a true test for our Conversion Team. However, as is always the case Beacon was up to the challenge and overcame extreme adversity to deliver on the promise we made when we accepted the contract.
