Time Reporting Management System
Problem:
Payroll processing was causing our Payroll Department to endure unnecessary employee stress as well as excessive expenses. The myriad of separate employee / contractor time spreadsheets that had to be completed, mailed, compiled and calculated was a time consuming nightmare for our Representatives, Management and Responsible Employees.
Our testing of "Other" Time Keeping Solutions aimed at resolving this problem was deemed a Serious Waste of Time as not one of them completely addressed the needs of the various departments.
Solution:
Having an intimate knowledge of the problem plus using Our Structured System Analysis and Design methodology Our Web Integration Group had a preliminary design model quickly completed. By utilizing the latest web technologies such as ASP, HTML, VB Script and Java Script with SQL and a MS-Access Database in our Application Software Design and Development Process we were ready to "BETA" test in a very short period of time.
After successful completion of the preliminary BETA test we were know ready to move a more Robust Database. Past experiences and our mutually beneficial partnership with IBM we decided to switch from MS-Access to IBM's Universal DB2. The Time Reporting Management System (TRMS) performed flawlessly in the final testing and was now ready for production.
The Elimination of the previous payroll completion concerns had a positive effect through our entire organization. Management was amazed that One Application (TRMS) was able to both Reduce Expenses and Raise Employee Moral. However it did much more than that.
Problem:
An associate of one of our executive officers was having difficulty managing his Company's payroll expense processes. The company had management and field representatives spread across several states, which led to the problem of timely and accurate payroll processing as time reports were often delayed and/or in error.
Solution:
Beacon was asked to help. By providing the company and staff with our TRMS and providing system training, the past Payroll Problems were eliminated. Management, Employees and Contractors alike were comforted with the knowledge that there would be no unnecessary delays in the receipt of a paycheck and that "Surprises" were extinct.
